Food Resources 

This page consists of several programs and agencies that provide various services and programs for low income individuals, families, and seniors, for food banks, pantries, food stamps, reduced and free lunch programs.

rental, utility assistance, food baskets, referral for clothing,and furniture assistance

emergency services for disaster victims, also meals on wheels, free services.
Catholic Charities- Food Pantry (In Alton, Carlinville, Decatur, Effingham, Mattoon, Quincy and Springfield)
For those of all ages who confront hunger, solutions must be found. Our food pantry staff help with immediate problems as well as search for solutions for the future

serves a hot, nutritious meal in a clean, positive environment
Catholic Charities-Crisis Assistance
We provide guidance, case management, referral and advocacy. We also may provide food, clothing and household vouchers, rent and utility assistance, or special food baskets and gifts during the holiday seasons. People in crisis need someone who cares and that is why we are here.

Women, infants and children (WIC) helps pregnant women, new mothers,and young children stay well and eat healthy
Fifth Street Renaissance/SARA Center
offers transitional housing for the homeless, a food pantry for the hungry, various programs for persons living with HIV and AIDS, a transitional youth program, and various other programs for those in need of a helping hand.
First Presbyterian Church
lunch bags, can goods, gas vouchers and rental assistance for unemployed, homeless, or financially unstable.
